In partnership with House of Solace Spices we are excited to bring you Spice It Up! Experts in creating authentic African flavours, for the first half of the workshop Solace Spices will be sharing methods and tips on how to make fresh spice mixes for a variety of curries and jollof rice dishes.

For the second half, Soul Food Sisters will be demonstrating how to make our house speciality Mhajab, a delicious Algerian flatbread stuffed with sweet peppers and tomatoes and served with fresh salad. This is a favourite at the cafe and we are looking forward to sharing how to create the dish with you!

As always the workshops will be highly interactive and we hope you will get stuck in with making the food. Through teaching you their home dishes, our chefs will share some of the meaning their food has to them alongside their recipes and advice. And at the end you get to enjoy eating the results of your hard earned work!

Following feedback from participants of our previous workshops we have decided to increase the pricing of our workshops, to respect the quality of the cooking demonstrations and the effort we put in to create a positive and valuable experience. However we still want the workshops to be accessible to everyone, so if you are unable to afford the ticket price due to unemployment or other circumstances we are happy to arrange a discounted or free ticket. To organise this please get in touch by emailing hello@soulfoodsisters.org

This workshop runs from 6.30 - 8.30pm on Thursday 9th May.
