Food Stories

  • Soul Food Sisters 202 Gallowgate Glasgow, Scotland, G1 5DS United Kingdom (map)

How many of the dishes we cook have been handed down to us by our mothers or another important person in our lives? How much of our family life happens in the kitchen or at the dinner table? How much of our food tells a story of our life, our country or the relationship with the people in our lives?

To celebrate Mother's day we would like to invite you to honour these stories about giving and receiving food and about the connections that we make with each other over food. Through teaching you their home dishes, our chefs will share some of the meaning their food has to them alongside their recipes.

Differing from our normal routine, this workshop will be more varied and comprise of 3 different dishes, ranging from Algerian, Lebanese, Polish or Eritrean. The specific cuisines will be confirmed nearer the time. Spaces are limited and tickets are £15 per person.

Tickets are available here. We are also hosting a day workshop on Sunday 31st March from 11am-1.30pm.

If you have any questions regarding dietary requirements or access, do not hesitate to contact us at hello@soulfoodsisters.org

We look forward to cooking with you!
